This is a follow up to my recent article on app.net users. In the last 10 days the number of users has grown from 2080 to about 11100. At the end of deadline there were 12303 people pleading $ 802.250. So nearly all of the initial supporters should have an account on alpha.app.net now.
The mean of following users went up from 12 to 17. 50% of the users only followed 7 other users or less. Thats just a little more than 10 days ago. User kuhcoon has been topped by user boa in following the most other users (1975).

What's more interesting is the number of followers each user has. The mean went up from 12 to 17 followers, but the 50% quorum stayed the same at 2 followers. That means half of the users on alpha.app.net have only 2 or less followers and even 75% have just 8 or less followers.

The founder of app.net @dalton has been topped by John Gruber (@gruber) with the most followers.

So even in this alpha phase there is a very uneven distribution of the following structure. There are 300 users with more than 100 followers. That's about 2.7%.
If I'll find the time I'll do some cliques analysis on the weekend. An other analysis I'd like to do is to measure the number of messages between the users. I'll hope to get some data soon. Until than you can have a look at the nice site appnetstats.com from user @clint.
The raw data is avaliable on github.com/hoffmann/appnetstats.
